Is The Hurt Locker any good then?

Has she suddenly discovered some hidden talent for directing then? All her previous films have been "just ok" to the point where I can't help thinking if this film wasn't about the boys in Iraq, she'd have not had a look-in.

I want to see The John Hurt Locker.

I'm hoping it'll be as good as The Jeff Bridges of Madison County.

Very good.

I've heard this is based on another film about a man making fun of Mongolians. The Yurt Mocker.

Didn't do anything for me and I am scratching my head as to why it won the Oscar - well, not really - it won the Oscar because of the political situation in the US and the war in Iraq I guess, but on it's merit as a movie - Meh.

Overall, not the worst movie out there but I did not think it was as good as it has been painted. Lead actor did a good job - even if he did pretty much play the same character as he did in 28 weeks later.

Watched it, it was a decent way to pass a couple of hours, but wasn't anything special... Can't understand the hype over it tbh... But if people think it's the best thing this year, then who am I to complain?.... (Probably not anyone important as I still haven't seen Avatar at the Cinema, but I still want to, looking at Cineworld, my local one'll be showing it until 5999 - It'll be in 69D by then :D)

It was an OK film. Got a bit lost in the final third.

It basically got Oscars as Hollywood delivered some payback to James Cameron via his ex wife (the director of Hurt Locker)

I agree and also going after the killers of "beckham" don't really think that would happen.
