Guest danlinacre
Hello Driving towards Rugby on Friday morning and to my horror the bonnet flies open blocking my view. Manage to stop my supra ok but the bonnets finished and ill need to replace the windscreen and bash out the roof. Any help sourcing a new bonnet would be much appreciated guys and girls. I've looked at the carbon fibre replacements but id prefer a stock J spec or UK. Does any body have one to sell or could point me in the right direction. Thanks in advance. Regards Dan

SupraStar 3000
was it an aftermarket bonnet? bonnets shouldn't fly open without reason. Also, always fit bonnet pins with any aftermarket hood especially carbon
nevins
y bonnet is bad enough at speed, it waves to me. Thats a stock bonnet as well lol
The-Plethora
Had exactly the same thing happen to me, gives you quite a shock. Probably costed me £1200 to get it all fixed but not heard of it happening with a stock bonnet before. As the others say go and see Keron, I think he is in your town so only down the road from you Edited March 7, 2010 by The-Plethora (see edit history)

dr_jekyll
maybe worth fitting a failsafe . something along the lines of a chain or nylon strap that would stop it getting to the windscreen or roff in the event of it opening. think ill make something up tomorrow to pass the time
