SupraHuman
In light of all the mobile phone threads lately I've been checking out a few on Ebay. There seems to be a lot of phones for sale from Hong Kong and the US, will these work in the UK at all? Also are there knock offs,if so how do you spot it? Normally when you get the phone out of the box, turn it on and it doesn't work - then all communication via phone and email mysteriously ceases. That kind of thing. Lbm
So buying a genuine will be a no no as well? It's very difficult to say. I've bought LED bulbs from HK and no doubt my Hids came from there too, but much lower costs are involved. How much do they want for their phones then? They are between £50 - £100 cheaper than the UK depending on brand and model.
CJ
I would be very wary about buying anything of relative expense via ebay / HK. If you do experience problems with the unit then getting it repaired etc is going to prove to be very problematic - and that is if it even can be repaired. Buying cheap from overseas is, in this instance and IMHO, false economy.

martini
It totally depends on which phone you're taking about. I just bought a WX-T923 from Taiwan and love it.
