michael
always the same dreary replys... Really? Can you provide some evidence to back this up? I've just looked through a number of replies and can't see many that are the same.
Paul Whiffin
I had the Storm 2 and mine was the same, worst phone I've ever had. Ended up having 3 replacements in the space of 2 months, I've now gone back to a Nokia E72 and I'm happy again. Mind you I've had 1 of these replaced as well! kill1308
I had a Blackberry Storm on a 14 day trial, found it sluggish and unresponsive. I also found that the touch-screen often required several firm presses to actually get it to do anything at all... I found the T-mobile android based phones to be a refreshingly useful device where everything actually works, couldn't get on with the Nokia E-series at all, found the user interface to be pretty poor. Shane
For my sins, one of the parts of my job is making sure that all the guys in my Dept have a BB providing them network access. I had the Pearl 8120 for an age and apart from the zoom on the camera locking up I had no problems until I dropped it once too many times, but considering how many times I had dropped it previously, it did well. But, I wasn't that keen on the operation of the pearl. Now I have the Curve 8520 with the new tracker pad instead of the tracker ball and I love it. Some of the guys went for the Bold 9000 and we have had a few of those give problems, mainly with lock ups. Also had the earlier version of the Curve give problems, but on the whole they have been really reliable. Saying that , all ours are on O2 and therfore the Storm isnt available so had no experience with them. A Slingmedia ap is now available for the BB too and for me that is great as I can now monitor our cable systems from my phone, so long as I am in a wifi zone. Have to say, that my experiance has been really good with them. Maybe its just the storm that is a bit rubbish.

SupraHuman
Anyone had any experience with the Nokia N97?
Guest jdwals
I've actually had a Blackberry Storm for the last year and a half and have had no problems with it (Vodafone Ireland). The only issue I have had with it is that sometimes when you turn the phone to the side, I need to skake the phone a little to get the display to re-orientate itself. Maybe I have just been lucky but no other problems so far.
penguin
the BB storm really is PANTS!! my brothers stopped working and ended up with the "red lights of death"... had to reload the firmware which meant he lost all his contact, messages etc... a real pain in the arse. it's not like other phones where you pull the battery and voala! i'm SO glad i went for the Iphone last week, i was seriously swaying towards the BB 9700 but having seen the reviews and the problems people have had glad i didnt! _Lynz_
Anyone had any experience with the Nokia N97? Yes, stay well clear. I bought mine outright when it first came out and its been a total nightmare. I did one of the system upgrades and it managed to get itself into some kind of loop which you couldn't get it out of so it had to be sent away to nokia and wiped. I have to switch it off at least once a day as it freezes when on the internet. It is also quite slow at responding. I've had nokia's for years but this has completely put me off, no one has anything good to say about this phone. The N97 mini is supposed to be better as it doesn't have the same problems due to the smaller memory but I won't be risking it when I have my upgrade

penguin
..... got more problems with this 54177Y phone!! BB Storms battery died - ended up with the "application 523" error (basically - the battery died, and the phone didnt have enough power to shut down properly) .... so did a full reinstall of the firmware/app... but not the screen is "blank" even though it lights up... i pulled the battery for a few hours, reconnected and screen worked for a min or so then faded back to black.... i can connect to it using the desktop manager, modify apps etc... but cannot get the damn thing sorted! any ideas to get this fixed? spent best part of 2 days trying various things. Gaz6002
I like mine... it does break quite a lot though. I couldn't live without it now. I'll be getting the latest Storm when my upgrade is due.
