ive got an N/A. the power steering feels heavy when im trying to turn towards a full lock. when the wheels are straight, i try and turn to go either way and after about 1/4 of the turn it starts to get heavy. the ps fluid is fine and the tyre pressure is good. what else could it be.

i no there been some confusion in this thread cause of lizzy borden, asking about a problem with there steering aswell. can i please ask that we keep this thread on topic of my steering, not meaning to sound like an asshole or anything, just trying to get this sorted asap mate.

There is a single wire near the steering box. If it broken then your PAS will fell heavy, well it did on mine. Plug shape is round, and it grey.

this is a noob answer and im nae proud to ask, but where is the steering box? has anyone got a pic of it?

Thats the one. Attaches directly to the left of the 1st turbo, on the drivers side, underneath the filter box/induction kit when facing from the front.

i dont have any turbos :( so would it still be located at the same place?

It is around these locations. I can't remember exactly which one but it was pretty far down, lower than the tubby's. I think it may have been cable tied to the O2 sensor.

check thoese plugs and found they were abit dirty/damp. gave them a clean and a wipe with a micro fibre cloth and the steering is alot better than it was! will keep an eye on this problem incase it happens again. only reason i could think it was like this would be the rubbish weather over the last 4months

No resolve on mine i'm afraid:(

The pump is now in bits for inspection;)

Found the problem. As suspected the relief valve was stuck. I found a tiny piece of grit (or something) in the chamber.

It must have been washed in with the new fluid.

Anyway. All working again :)
