Lee_e Posted March 2, 2010 Share Posted March 2, 2010 Hey guys Bit of a random thread, I currently have 1st and 2nd Decats on my BPU supra its due for an MOT in early April I have quiet a trusty guy i go to whos let me off a fair few things in the past I.E HID lights and small things like that. Question is... do you think i should risk giving it to him with both decats on or is it worth buying/borrowing just the 2nd cat and getting it through ?? Im worried as i think he will pick up on it and make me buy a new one which im assuming wil be ££££ What do you guys rekon? Oh and just on the off chance if anybody has a 2nd cat for a Jspec auto TT they want to lend me for a few days, id be forever in your debt i will happily pay for the postage costs. The model code JZA80 is across the range so it comes up when typed in. It will be all down to the tester I'm afraid, but going by the book, it won't pass without a cat in. YES BUT - thats the UK spec car that the DVLA have data for, and it has different turbos etc and remember that the import spec has a non turbo model also. It would be scandelous to put imports through on UK spec emmissions. My MOT tester puts mine through on non cat emmissions figures as he accepts that the model isnt on the database. Yes thats correct, there is no figures on the database for the J spec so they have no alternative but to put them through on a non cat test, the age also is a factor.
