Jspec Germany
What's the average cost for a clifford alarm with intellistart? This is in my near future. Did any of you do the install yourselves?

Clifford's with intellistart should set you back approx £450.00-£550.00 fitted, depending on the optional extras you add to it, officialy they are to be installed by an authourised clifford dealer, and im pretty sure you cannot purchase a new clifford alarm to "diy"

I ended up paying £750 for an Intelliguard 950 system with add-on Intellistart 4 unit and comms serial cable. It's not TOO bad a price really - you can have great fun with the Intellistart (if you like that sort of thing!) I wouldn't attempt to fit one - you should of seen the amount of wiring on the Intelliguard main unit! Madness! There was a fair few from the Intellistart too! Still, got to keep my baby safe! michael parker
Also, finally got my blackjax activated today, clifford gave me a demo of what happens if your hi-jacked or some twocer nicks ya keys, i was well impressed!!! If you have blackjax and don't have it activated, i recommend you do. Fair enough it does take all of 3 seconds to key in your two digit code every time a door is opened, but you have the peace of mind that some thieving gypsy scumbag isn't getting far in your car, well worth that 3 seconds i reckon
Duffers
Chris Wilson just adores my BlackJax! NOT!
Feakins
Email sent. I've got blackjax but my doors autolock too so its unlikely some1 will jack me. It would be handy though if some1 stole my keys but I cant be bothered to type in a code every 5 minutes. If u want intellistart the solaris is the best option. Around £600. Yeah i've got autolock on too, but if some1 walked up to me at the traffic lights and tapped on the glass with a gun!! i think i'd be persuaded to get out rather than get shot! (Sounds a bit extreme but it's always on the news now about gun crime) think how much you would s*it yourself having it pointed at ya! you wouldn't just drive off
Gary
The main reason for me getting Blackjax isn't for the car jacking but the key jacking! Its just good to know if someone gets your keys they're not going to get far with your car! The noise it makes is horrendous, i was parking at work once and opened my door to for someone to get out before i parked, forgot to put the code in when they got out, parked up, blackjax started flashing and beeping, fumbled my code a few times and the rest i wish i could forget! Bloody loud in an underground carpark and i've never fumbled my code since!
