xbox live help please

I take it you bought the 360 wireless dongle and you're not just using a carphone warehouse jobby.?

 

Also, are you plugging the dongle into the rear USB port on the 360. I don't think it works on the fronts.

 

Try unplugging it, turning the power back on, then turning off, plug it back in and power up again.

if you hard wire it with a ethernet cable it is alot more reliable, it is how I run mine. Bonus being that you can get 10 metre length cables and no worry of a signal dropping.

 

There is also a way to connect the 360 to your laptop and update this way.

just out of interest have you done an initial setup with the adapter connected

 

i got a cd with the xbox adaptor mate... i put it in and nothing happened, so i went on the xbox website and it says the update might already be done so wont read the disc.... im sure im missing software for that part overwise the wireless setting would be there, like yours is

Configure your wireless settings

Connect your Xbox 360 console to your wireless network by following these steps:

On the console, go to My Xbox, and then select System Settings.

Select Network Settings.

Select Configure Network.

On the Basic Settings tab, select Wireless Mode. ***IM NOT GETTING THIS BIT***

 

Note If wireless mode is not available and you are using the black Wireless N Networking Adapter, try using the software installation disc included with the adapter. For more information about how to do this, click the following article number to view the article in the Microsoft Knowledge Base:
