Supra ST Myster
Is there a way of having the PC working on a TV screen? is there a special card thats required?
JustGav
Yeah, most graphics cards these days have a TV out which you can use... Either that or you can get a unit which converts VGA to TV, but they aren't that cheap.. Gav
Supra ST Myster
do they do it so you can hook up a screen with a yellow phono in as the video source? is it a ariel source to the TV or via the scart?
JustGav
Usually it is a yellow connector on the cards, or a svideo feed... sometimes they are inputs as well, which graphics card do you have?

carl0s
dont know what it is but doesnt have those as outputs.. can you recommend any that does have a phono out so it can be connected to a small screen? I have a box of 28 ATI Radeon 9200SE 64mb Cards which have a composite TV-Out (the yellow connector you are talking about) I really do need to get them on eBay. You can have one for £15 + 2.50 delivery (£17.50) if you want one. (BTW, this yellow/composite connector is *not* the same as an Aerial/RF connector so make sure your telly has the yellow rca/phono socket on it)
Supra ST Myster
It has a seperate yellow phono video "in" source, like plugging in a camcorder to view it, so if thats ok i will take one of those cards off you?? pm me your paypal addy if i can pay you that way? carl0s
yep that's the stuff. I don't do paypal (I setup a paypal account for my ex-gf and she got it made permanently limited ) but I can do NOCHEX. You should be able to pay with your card via NOCHEX without having to register or anything. send the nochex payment to carl at css-networks dot com and email me there too to talk delivery address or alternate payment methods if nochex is no good. cheers dude

Aerotop Dave
Got any other PC bits Carlos? I'm after a cheapo socket 478 motherboard (around £20)
carl0s
I'm afraid I haven't mate. They start at £30 + delivery from microdirect.co.uk though.
Aerotop Dave
Even better, their clearance corner has some for £11 - excellent! I looked at this site some time ago and they didn't have anything - now they've got loads of mobos in their clearance section under £20. carl0s
I have a box of 28 ATI Radeon 9200SE 64mb Cards which have a composite TV-Out (the yellow connector you are talking about) I really do need to get them on eBay. (BTW, this yellow/composite connector is *not* the same as an Aerial/RF connector so make sure your telly has the yellow rca/phono socket on it) It turns out that these are actually 128mb Cards, not 64mb, so you're getting quite a bargain The 64's were the ones I sold on eBay.
