paulj1
Hi I'm thinking of upgrading my Kyb shocks and Eibach springs for either some Tein super streets or BC rs coilovers any opinion on which one to go for car is used as a daily drive Cheers Paul
mwilkinson
Tein I would say that as I have Tein suspension so I'm biased.
RobD
I have teins, they are a harsh ride but feel planted.
Kirk
Non! Either some stock bilstiens with stock springs or some CW revalved bilstiens. If your set on coilovers I wouldn't go for these low end kits, I'd consider going for nitrons or ohlins.
j_jza80
I'd either speak to Paul Whiffin (as he sells both) or i'm sure JamieP has had both fitted to his current car.
a98pmalcolm
I have the BC shocks and i think there great! Especialy as the price is a giveaway with them! Tein would normaly be the "yes" answer but depends if u wanna save a few bob as the Teins will be alot more expensive!
RobD
If your set on coilovers I wouldn't go for these low end kits, I'd consider going for nitrons or ohlins. Because everyone can afford to splash out a couple of grand on coilovers can't they!
Kirk
Nope I'm a snob you see! At the end of the day you get what you pay for but on the a street car there's nothing better than a stock setup with good dampers Edited February 27, 2010 by Kirk (see edit history)
Guest Budz86
I'm running the BC's and have had them about 3-4 months now. Very impressed with them, although if you put the damper settings too stiff, it's very uncomfortable! Been playing with them today to get the feel of the car just right and with a bit of tweaking, they grip pretty well....unless you don't want it too! mwilkinson
My Tein suspension is the Mono Flex setup with the EDFC. The ride use to be quite harsh but with the EDFC I can control the dampening levels on the suspension. Now I find it quite pleasant and when I need a more planted ride I just press a button. Simples!!
hodge
I've fitted BC to mine and for the money there tremendous. I've been in loads of supras with tein fitted and the ride is much harsher than the BC. The BC have a more extensive height adjustment too. For the equilivent tein setup your looking at 800 pounds plus Inc top mounts. The BC's come with top mounts and are only 579 delivered. They look alot better too. I definatly think it's a case of a designer coilover with a high price tag. Cos tein is the more expensive and has been around for a long time it's the imidiate choice.
