What a crap couple of days.

Starts off with Sam having the flu, so off we go to the doctors only to be given the wrong tablets, as Sam has bad asthma.

So on comes Thursday Sam is getting worse by the the hour. 11pm I am chasing a ambulance down to the hospital as sam has stopped breathing.

Now I do not sleep as it is but I can truly say I am beyond exhausted physically and mentally. I have only just got home from the hospital 10 mins before logging on, but not for long as I am back down the hospital after a breather. This is not the crap part though, NO!, The crap part is knowing that I am sat here unable to do anything to help Sam after being told that she has a huge shadow on her lungs. By all accounts they can not decide if its just a infection or a clot on the lungs. Except they are saying its nothing to worry about, even though they are running round like idiots giving her treatments, as she can not breathe.

Nothing to worry about is it Doc, Can you tell me why you have injected 3 huge needles into her stomach, behind the rib cage and angled up, and not to forget that when I asked you simply said its to "hopefully" break down the clot.

Sorry about the rant but my head is shot and needed to vent some pressure.

Wow unbelievable. I wondered why I hadn't seen you 2 about last night.

I had a similar thing happen back in November, didn't get to quite that level though. Scary as hell not being able to breathe, had shadows showing on x-rays etc as well.

Wish her all the best from me bud!

Don't forget the grapes :)

Wow:blink: I hope shes fine and has a fast recovery, Sounds very worrying. I had a similar problem but that was through an injury during training a few years back.

Try and sleep whenever you get the chance too nev because you cant look after someone else without looking after yourself first. Any Idea when she can leave?

If it helps, my money is on a viral chest infection.

My son (now 4 weeks old) caught it pretty much when he was born - is just now recovering from it. When he was in hospital, they had numerous other identical cases too.

My Dad (over in the west country) has had a very similar viral chest infection for the last 3 weeks.

It seems to be everywhere these last few weeks.

Really sorry to hear this Nevin, I hope Sam a quickly recovery mate.

Try not to worry too much mate, she is good hands now so they can look after her. You did your part but now just make sure you get some rest (As easy as it may sound) so then you are full of energy for her. Hopefull they find out what it is and it is something minor and she can be back to her good old self within a couple of days.
