Trackers not worth the money?

With a relatively low cost device such as this :

.....your tracker will not be able to send out its gps location.

 

So the question is...what use is a tracker these days??

they know thats going to be used just to steal cars. i hate people..... wonder how they would feel if one of the guys that invented that got there car stolen using there own tech

Maybe im being Naive, but why would this ever need to be used? apart from stealing cars..? unless your car is lojacked from work i guess?

Mine has Tracker fitted, doesn't work on GPS but radio signals so this will have no effect?

My old company used to put trackers in the company cars to stop analysts from parking up for 2 hour lunch breaks in cafes together, so for that reason, id have one

My 1st Supra, a Blue Do Luck kitted car with Gunmetal double sixes and a T78 Single had a tracker, it was stolen from my house while I was asleep but breaking in and stealing the keys, it was not found and never seen again

 

If they want it bad enough they will take it IMO

And they will still take a Tracker equiped car.

There are no stickers or any way of knowing it's fitted, it's not a deterrant, if stolen you get a chance of getting it back before anything is done to it that's all.

I believe it is only high value cars where insurance companies offer any (significant) discount.

Sounds like a good way to get fired for misconduct though

 

I dont understand why this has been invented other than to aid criminals who are stealing expensive cars with trackers (but thankfully it doesnt block the radio trackers).
