JS2004
Are those K&M air filters better than the toyota stock ones? And is it a straight swap over for an N/A into the stock box... or is some adjustment required? Is cleaning the stock filter possible? Nic
What induction kit would be ideal for use with a FMIC? Would the Apexi unit be ok? Or would the pipework need extending to pass the FMIC pipes? The Apexi kit should fit fine.

The stock paper filter can be cleaned by removing and blowing through with compressed air. The K&N and other panel filters are a straight swap, same fit for TT and NA. Aftermarket filters are suppose to help the engine breathe better to give more power.
Angarak
When I got my car it had the HKS Super Power Flow induction kit that uses the mushroom filter. It sounded awesome but then I read an article comparing various filters and the HKS kit I had was the worse one of the lot. I then switched to a Envy Performance 'Apexi Style' induction kit which had a filter that looks almost identical to the Apexi Power Intake. At BPU I was seeing 1.2 bar of boost. I later decided to revert back to the stock box with a Blitz Power Filter and noticed that I now only get 1.1 bar max....but with more peace of mind Edited February 27, 2010 by Angarak (see edit history)
Guest van_damme_supra
If you do choose an induction kit, get the Apexi. It seems to be the best of the bunch i'm interested in injen and apexi. i'd rather go for apexi for the dual funnel filter but i've never seen the product installed.. i mean i know that injen's pipework goes to the front in the engine bay by the coldest air. on garagewhifbitz they couldnt tell me how long the pipework was.. :s can anyone score me a pic of these? grtz
