Matt H
Just to lob another perspective in... Edd, have you seen the car in your pic at different angles? Just that while that pic makes the car look lush, does it look lush looking at that kind of offset at every angle? Just a thought If it does then go for it! Dnk
They look stunning mate and if you get the correct width and offsets to fit under stock bodywork then they'll look great. Im guessing these aren't chrome but highly polished with a clearcoat on them ? Im afraid this country isn't suited to having wheels like this on your car and they dont last no matter what you do. Been there and done that with my Work Equips, i used to wash and polish them every week. Lasted about 18 months and the car wasn't used in the winter and only did about 8000 miles. RobSheffield
I know the whole big wheel thing is great in theory Ed, but are they chrome or polished alloy? Rare for JDM alloys to be chrome. Im with Colin. California, yeah great all for it. You wont have any handling problems as they dont have any corners, and you wont have corrosion problems as it never rains let alone snows! Leicestershire....maybe not
SupraStar 3000
Stop pissing on my strawberries Rob! What with global warming, Leicester with be the new California in a few years. LOL NO, your quite right Mr Sheffield. I needed a reality check!
Pudsey
I have the car with the red alloys as my wallpaper on the pc. Would love a set of those rims as I think they look awesome too, love the dished look as long as its stainless though. After pulling my car out of the garage from winter storage recently, the roads are absolutely shocking around my way after the harsh winter we have just seen. Playing dodge the pot hole all the time now, where as it was occassional before. I am glad that I didn't spend out lots of money on wheels, as they would soon get ruined. I have even been thinking about going back to standard original rims.

LOL NO, your quite right Mr Sheffield. I needed a reality check! If you care for the wheels enough, you can buy products such as Rimwax and various others which will help keep corrosion away, or you could even get Ibrar to clear coat the exposed parts. Theres always ways around it, i would get them, they are hawt

hoff
Do it, will be super cool car:cool: Yep. You wont be happy (or at least as happy) if you dont go for them Ed. Just keep them clean and protected, and drive carefully and you will be fine mate. If the supe is your daily driver keeping them clean etc will keep you busy but it will be worth it:) I would definately have a spare set for winter though. SupraStar 3000
ok gang. Had a response from the wheels people who have themselves, contacted Works Japan. They can now do this set-up which is alittle more appropriate for the Supra. For the reason Nic mentioned (handling and bearings) I know its not perfect, but whats your opinions. Proposed Wheels Front 19x9.5 +35 - front lip size = 55mm lip They will stick out an extra 34mm (was 45mm) Rear 19x11.0 +34 > Rear lip size = 92mm lip. - They will stick out an extra 35mm (was 40mm) Should fit stock set-up with front fender that needs to be rolled. hoff
Ed, I think (not 100% sure) Matt and Dude at AFR can do the arch rolling. Not exactly local to you but worth finding out if you dont find anybody closer who are reliable, who do it properly and wont f*$k it up.
