leak problem

Hi all

This might be an easy question but I'm not a mechanic so I'd still need your help and advises.

Yesterday when parking my car I noticed a leak of pink-yellow-ish slightly oily liquid.... it is clean and doesn't hardly smell anything.....

Power-steering oil maybe ?

Be it this or something else, is it safe at last to drive to the garage and is it reasonable to leave it so for a couple of days ? I was supposed to go on holiday tomorrow (not by car ;) ) and it's gonna be very difficult for me to find time to go to mr T..... still I'd need to drive a couple of miles today, what would you all say ?

----------------> I eventually took my morning off to have a closer look, the liquid seems to be engine coolant :/

level in the rad seemed ok, couldn't check the expansion because I was lacking light, gonna take the car out and have a look..... I'd say I lost about half a wine-glass.... more or less....... didn't notice any over-heating problem yet

I love the way you measure the amount :D

Any idea where abouts the leaks coming from, heater matrix in and out feeds are one culprit i've had go, that was obvious though once the car had go up to full temp.

It would possibly pay you to run the car up to temp with the bonnet open and have a good look as the leak might be obvious but then again it might not but worth a look.

Have been driving almost all day long (gently), leak seems to be getting worse, I got 2 small poodles about 1 feet behind front wheel axis 5 minutes after having parked the car...... still I have no signs of overheating (so far) and the level seems acceptable....

Bad news about the leak, fella. I'd take the dogs for a play on the park and have a bit of fun instead ;)

As mentioned before, check the coolant pipes that feed the matrix through the bulkhead, myt old supe leaked there.

It's kind of pointless saying where the puddles are, as all supras are fitted with under trays. These trays catch the water from where ever it's leaking from and drip from the same place. Your best bet is get your head under the bonnet when it's running and poke around. You'll find it eventually.

Coolant leaks I've seen before on the supra are :-

Matrix pipes

cracked radiator (plastic next to rad cap splits)

water pump

2 little turbo coolant pipes (just to left of where L-shaped rad pipe goes towards the engine)
