standard air box with front mount intercooler?

Has anyone got a standard air box fitted with a front mount intercooler? I’d like to change the intake on mine (it’s currently got a green hks mushroom) and was just wondering if it would fit? Or would I have to go for another aftermarket intake like the apexi?

I don't have a stock one but I have an ARC filter. It is a PITA to install with the hardpipe kit. It all depends on what way your hardpipe kit goes basically. Best bet would be to borrow one for a trial fit :D

i think your right there i might have to get hold of one and try and see if it fits, even the hks mushroom filter looks very close to the pipe

I have a Greddy M-Spec FMIC with a stock air box installed. It was a PITA to make fit and is very tight.

Personally I found the stock air box much better for power delivery over my HKS induction kit I had previously. I would say it definitely improved the responsiveness.
