AndrewOW
It's all relative. When I went to see King Kong at the local cinema a few years ago, I was disappointed by the screening quality, but when watching on my plasma at home on DVD it was superb. I went to see Avatar again at the weekend, and it was a huge improvement, but not a patch on the screening when we went to see the same film in Oslo earlier this month. Flat screen LCD, or LED screens, especially if they are made of the thin material types seen in recent times, will make a huge difference IMO. supra_aero
I feel the same way as a lot of you guys. Way prefer watching at home - even DVDs upscaled on my dvd player look better than cinema (at least through my eyes). And I can pause to go to the loo, pause to discuss a scene and rewind to hear a whisper I didn't quite catch. Best of all food and drink is at Tesco prices
