Well thought id post a hello!

Ive been in search of a new car after getting my previous project over the hill. But the previous project is a toy and is getting very very difficult to get through a legal mot.

So with the need for a new car in mind and some basic requirements I decided to do some proper research. Based on the need for it to be RWD, easy to modify and cheap to crash. After quite a bit of deliberating I broke it down to 3 cars I like; Supra, Skyline and an Escort. After seeing that the Escorts I wanted were going for quite alot of pennies I soon let that dream fade and compared lots of jap metal, 200sx's/Evos/Skylines/350s/AE86.

Anyway I ended up deciding on a Supra, at the moment im still searching I don't really have a specific model in mind it just has to be well looked after, nicely detailed in out and under and with good quality power upgrades ideally over 400-450bhp but if a very very nice one comes up without much beans ill still consider it. I still need to have a test drive of one with triptronic gearbox before I decide on Manual/Auto. As i plan to do some cruising around europe it will be nice if the feel of the drive isn't numbed.

Im not in a rush to get one so hopefully ill be able to find the ideal one.

Welcome matey, though you sound conflicted in what you're after TBH. You considered an escort?, which must mean you're talking about up to Mk2 if you must have RWD, but they are nothing at all like the supra...not even close. Also, the cheap to crash comment, are you planning on tracking the car?, if so, the tip box cars are late models which I wouldn't want to see wrapped around an armco. I'd also suggest that supras, irrespective of model, are never cheap to crash ;)

Haha yea, i had been eyeing up a couple of MK2's but there an old classic that I really want but can't face up to not being rich enough  A Mate has just fully restored his dads XR2i that's been sat on his driveway for 27 years rotting, that kinda made it jump to the top of my list. The skylines i were looking at were pre 90 GTR's.

As far as cheap to crash goes, it will be down the strip frequently and may end up on a few tracks but only at shows and maybe the occasional sensible ring lap, its mainly just having plenty of parts available without having to spend a fortune or hit my insurance if I have a bit of a mishap.

Monsween - I have been eyeing it up considerably too much
