Lurch
My acer aspire 5920g is pretty good!! Does all of the above and more cost £300 refurbished from ebay a year and half ago. So brand new now should be around £350, have a look on acer website. Intel Core 2 Duo 2Ghz, 2 gb ram (can upgrade to 4gb) & nvidia geforce 250mb graphics card. caseys
Core 2 Duo normally, avoid anything with a bog standard Celeron. AMD Phenom/Athelon processors are OK, but not as good as the C2D/C4Q/i5 stuff. You looking to buy new or also happy 2nd hand? The mac zealot in me would say buy a 2nd hand Macbook and she can run Mac OS and Windows on it. Avoid anything Dell, from my personal experience we've got a 7 man team at work and within 2 years 6 of us have had replacements. I've had two motherboard replacements on mine. Reliability is awful. HP, Lenovo, Acer, Sony (£££ tho) all put together reasonable build quality laptops. Just avoid Dell and Toshiba if you can. As said above, for the budget there's plenty to look at. http://www.ebuyer.com/product/179694 - seems good as it has an LED screen at that price http://www.ebuyer.com/product/182576 As a couple of examples dude
