Guest Lizzy Borden
Hi to all. New member with a problem. When i start my car (TT) it fires up normally and runs smoothly. As it warms up it begins to misfire badly. This is more evident if you apply the throttle quickly when stationary. It's pretty much undriveable under any load. Things i've tried; 1. New coil packs 2. New plugs 3. New coil pack plugs (old ones where baked) 4. Swapped ignitor 5. swapped MAP sensor 6. Discon. FCD Any help would be greatly appreciated. Cheers in advance. Gary. Sandy-m2
Check the O2 sensor? reset the Ecu? have a search for diagnostic codes and see what codes are coming up. Thanks

Guest Lizzy Borden
Crank sensor? TPS? Its a Soarer innit? Rumbled lol Yes it's a 1jz. No it's not been stood. No codes coming out. What resistance is the crank sensor normally? I'll swap out the o2 sensor and try again. Tps hasn't been moved. This started after i changed the coil pack plugs for new but i've checked and double checked those.
Guest Lizzy Borden
Today i swapped out the O2 sensor and the coolant (ecu) sensor, and the ECU itself. Still there:thumbdown: After another run it sounds like the burble you get from the auto box retarding the timing in 'on boost' changes. It only happens on boost or when revved quickly from idle. All the injectors sound ok. Gary.

Do you mean the idle control valve (ICV)? Edited February 28, 2010 by Lizzy Borden (see edit history)
