miko_supra
Just been told by jevensio that its ok to leave it with the damper removed. So that's what I'm doing. I might weld up my own bracket some day if i feel like it though.

Paul Whiffin
Just remove the damper, I've been running for about 8 years with no failures whatsoever.
pedrosixfour
I think the damper was more of a requirement on an engine mated to an auto than a manual. Something to do with the add stress of kickdown. Edited February 19, 2010 by pedrosixfour (see edit history)

pedrosixfour
Ah what the hell do I know?? There isn't a damper on mine Dude, not since I've had it anyway. I didn't even know if there should be one seeing as mine is an NA 5 speed manual.
