francis
Hi there, Just about to get myself a UK Supra, and have a few questions! Ok here goes: 1) I plan on getting HID headlights installed, do these kits work on the main and full beams? I've read about the various group buys going on, which are the best ones to get? 2) I want to get a pair of clear front indicators, where is the best place to get these? I've seen a few people selling them on eBay from the US, but are these good quality? 3) Living in London I'd probably want to use a steering wheel lock just in case. What's the best one to get for a Supra (that will go over the steering wheel)? 4) Finally I'll be getting myself some kind of speed camera warning system. Is the Road Angel 2 the best one to get? Many thanks in advance! Cheers, Francis
merckx
HID's only work on the low beam unless you've got Bi-Xenon headlights. You could put them in the high beam but flashing them will substantially reduce their life and you would blind oncoming road traffic. The recent group buy provided kits which gave better results than an earlier one which I and others wasted our money on. If you want a kit, this one was okay: http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/showthread.php?t=35689&highlight=hid The only thing with HID's is that they weren't designed for halogen headlamps but have been adapted to fit, I'm going to do it better next time! This steering lock is okay, it fits the Supra. http://www.disklokuk.co.uk/products.html

merckx
I bought these front indicators, been on the car 8 months - okay so far. http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=14763&item=7974150770&rd=1&ssPageName=WDVW Bare in mind you might need a new wiring harness from Toyota as they use the wedge type bulb. I like the smilies!

Nic
I can get genuine Toyota facelift front indicators (the ebay ones are copies) at good price here in Hong Kong pm me if you want some. I can also get a very good quality HID kit, made by the company who supplies most of the OEM HID kits for the Japanese car manufacturers. Seb
RAII kicks arse on the detection front, but there is a new Angel being launched very soon which incorporates sat-nav, so you might want to wait a little.
Nic
Cheers Nic, Might have to be in touch as I'm coming out to Hong Kong in a few weeks Give me shout, the indicators would need ordering from Japan, HID kits always in stock.
