Whitesupraboy2
Matt, check wire i did in this thread. I remember at time everyone saying no no...might be dodgy... then last year BT brought out a new face plate panel that stops this wire causing interference round the house http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/showthread.php?t=135432

Ric
Ric is there some way of changing your up load speed? No, ADSL (standard) only supports an upload speed of around 486kpbs cable will be more, but then its provider dependant such as some people showing 45mbit down and 1mbit up

caliAl
Check the IP profile on your line through the BT speed tester website. BT often restrict lines at peak times to reduce bottle necks at their exchanges. I'd give up on BT if I were you. Go for an ISP that has LLU enabled at your local exchange (use http://www.samknows.com/broadband/ for this). I switched to BE and have been very happy with them.
