edge
I rang my provider the other day and had a moan and got another 0.7Mb/s more. Although its still piss poor at 3.0. Bt are coming to my area late summer and supposedly running fibre from the exchange to the street boxes. Wish cable was in my area. Matt have you tried just plugging your router to the main socket and removing all other phones etc? And connect to the master by removing the faceplate? that will help confirm if you have any dodgy connections in house
jimmy_supra
With BT aswell, crap
scotty71
Im with BT but I would change if I could get cable in my area. I pay for 8mb and get around 2mb (can be 4mb sometimes) and I am 2 miles from the exchange. My quickest speed should be around 4mb due to my distance from the exchange. I think this and the previous thread by Matt show BT sucks. If the Bt roll out of Fibre cables takes an age I might change provider later in the year Scotty

MaveriK
Please keep in mind that those figures are from YOUR pc to the outside world. Log into your router and have a look at what it thinks its recieving. If there is a big difference then there is a problem between your pc and the router
