Septic
Cheers bro, it breaks my heart the amount of blood and sweat that i put into that, i just couldnt afford management so it underfueled and melted a piston! I was running over 22PSI of boost and even with a 250 KPA sensor and a custom JABBA chip the standard ECU couldnt be mapped. Would have been around 300BHP which most probly would have been the most powerfull 8v Rado in the country! LOL and yer i know edition 38 very well... Wow!! How did the front wheels handle that kind of power? Before the engine blowing up that is. Marc_p- I've seen that passat so many times! Quite popular at edition38 is it not? Your mate isn't by any chance living in East London is he?

Even though the G60 was £22k all those years ago (which as alot of bloody money) but the car was brilliently built that people never really noticed! Like the offset of the front wheels were different either side. so rather than the wheels being sametrical. The gearbox side the wheel stuck out around anoter 15mm to help reduce torque steer! It handled loverly, especialy as it was on koni adjustable coillovers!
Septic
Oh wow malcom. Never knew that about Rados. G60s are immense. You're making me want one now!
a98pmalcolm
mate u can ask me almost anything about them lol Another cool thing that not alot of people know about is how clever and cool the digi trip computer is Ok you get MPG, Av Speed, total trip distance, total trip distance sinse last turned the engine on, oil temp, clock, outside temp. BUT On the G60's if turn it to MFA 2 on the stalk. Hold down the MFA button turn the engine off them back on again your trip compter turns onto a performance computer with, digi rev, digi boost readings, engine code! Awsome cars and VERY underated! Septic
WTF?! Lol that is news to me! Yeah they look so mean aswell. I was mulling over getting one but I'm after the Supra has the performance area ticked. A Rado G60 would make a good daily though!

Your mate isn't by any chance living in East London is he? He seems to be going to London every other weekend but he actually lives here oop north with me, it is quite a well known car in the Euro scene I believe. I remember going to a show at the London Motor Museum with him and I have to say it actually drove really nice and smooth on airbags, I was expecting a very bouncy and choppy ride. Septic
I've never been in a car on air. Yeah that passat is very popular. It was in this month's PVW too I think at one of the meet coverages.
jevansio
"Some" of those cars would be really nice with better fitting tyres/wheels/suspension, sadly that fact has ruined them though, hella flush sucks
L18msy
My old vag. I was a member of a vag club but just got the impression that they were right up their own arses. No one made any effort at the meets and got nothing but grief and bitching on the forums it done my head in.Unlike here where everyone helps you out and has decent banter.Even when i go to a supra meet now there arent any cocks there looking down their nose at you just decent folk. A VR6 is quicker than an NA Supra, and a stock G60 would probably be very similar.
Suprab1
Have to say after owning a VW and a few friends and family having VWs and Seats i will never buy one again. Some of them look ok though.
j_jza80
If i wasnt such a lover of power i would sooo get another, But getting high power figures from them is so so hard! Not as good a 'power base' as a TT but tuning costs are similar to an NA, well with the VR6 anyways. For anyone who hasn't driven a Corrado they have the most balanced setup i've ever experienced. No tendency to under or oversteer unless pushed well over the limit, just a lovely controllable 4 wheel drift. Make a better road car than a DC2 Integra type R IMO although probably not as good on track. Very special cars.
swich
I had a very quick Polo G40, but a 1.3 highly tuned will never last long. Yeah it didn't lol
a98pmalcolm
I had a very quick Polo G40, but a 1.3 highly tuned will never last long. Yeah it didn't lol lol awsome lil cars! but yer dont wanna be doin to much to them, chip and pully kit and stage 4 charger rebuild and manifold with exhaust.....then leave it lol. Thing with the TT is some they come with the 20v 1.8T lump. thats was most of the DUB drvers use in there cars as its the most tunable! But its just to comon. Thats why i didnt go down that route in my rado! But if power is what you after with the car being reliable septic...supra is the way to go really, thats y i got one! Yeah 1.8T conversions are just too common now with VAG cars. The Supra's reliability when it comes to power is the reason I'm going for one in the first place. I've just fallen in love with some of the single Supras on here. L18msy, your mk2 is timeless! Looks gorgeous and reminds me of this one: I agree with you about all the b1tching and politics though. It ruins an otherwise amazing scene.
Miguel
Wow Miguel that is amazing! A mag-feature with PVW is no easy thing to get!!! Respect! You're not wrong. Thanks. Wicked name!!! Sounds like a porn star!!! You need to pack alot of punch to pull a name like that off (no pun intended:D). That's the first time I've heard that said. I wish my schools careers advisor had mentioned that as a possible direction, I'm sure I could have filled a small part. Its awsome and i miss it, as i was a DUB man for many years! If i wasnt such a lover of power i would sooo get another, But getting high power figures from them is so so hard! Here are some pics of my corrdo G60 that i spent £16k on but blew up http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/picture.php?albumid=316&pictureid=2427 http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/picture.php?albumid=316&pictureid=2426 http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/picture.php?albumid=316&pictureid=2425 http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/picture.php?albumid=316&pictureid=2424 http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/picture.php?albumid=316&pictureid=2423 http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/picture.php?albumid=316&pictureid=2422 http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/picture.php?albumid=316&pictureid=2421 http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/picture.php?albumid=316&pictureid=2420 http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/picture.php?albumid=316&pictureid=2419 Very Nice. I always fancied building a turbo'd Vr6 Rado, they had a lovely sound to them when on song. http://i140.photobucket.com/albums/r8/L18msy/golf49.jpg http://i140.photobucket.com/albums/r8/L18msy/golf16.jpg http://i140.photobucket.com/albums/r8/L18msy/golf7.jpg My old vag. Very clean mate, liking that. As for Snobbery/Clique in the scene, every club scene has a certain level of it, even this one.
