VAG cars

I was wondering what you guys thought about the whole DUB scene with VAG cars (VW, Audi, Seat etc). I'm into the scene and I think Euro-modding (i.e less is more-smoothing etc) is pretty cool.

Here are some pics:

Nice Gti Jimo! Yeah import > all to be honest :)

99.99% of those cars are totally impractical! You could never drive them without damaging them.

Well most of the cars are on air-ride. I drive mine pretty low on coilovers and I haven't had much trouble (well apart from my splitter coming off....but that was a one-off!!)

Nice Rado Jza!!

I don't see how those massive-wheeled, ridiculously cambered monstrosities add up to "less is more"... but hey-ho.

In the past I've been known to mix with VeeDubites of various types. Check my garage for a pic. It might not be to your taste though because I've got more "less is more" than you.

Nice R32 Gaz. Looks nice even in stock-guise.

Well yeah Euro-modding is all about the stance and smoothed engine bays/ nice interiors etc. I guess its a bit marmite. I love it though.

Mind you, the Jap scene is head and shoulders above it imo. I just prefer the DUB look really.

Lol does everyone here own a Rado?! Lucky sods. What do you guys think of it as compared to the Supra? Is it even a comparison?

I appreciate that, but you would have to ride most of them pretty high to avoid the tyres making contact with the arches (given that the tyres protude the arches)

Those cars are good for photoshoots but that's about it. Even a good number of the Supras on here are too low or have low bumbers etc that are impractical.

The kits are 99% fibreglass and once they make contact with a pebble, it ruins the look of the car!

Aside from that I am a fan of VAG cars;)

Yeah I agree that many of them are trailer-queens. A few of my mates and I however, drive our cars low and as dailies. The VAG scene is really good fun though.

Just came across another vid- love the music and editing.

I wish I had a camera like that!!

I've got a VAG car as my daily driver,

Its a skoda octavia, its not modified at all, let alone like the dub scene.

Shares the chassis of the bora, passat, and some audi's, only the skoda tends to be the budget end of the range though.

I like the look of some of the cars in the dub scene, but go too far in one direction and it starts to get chavvy like;

Wow amazing rado! I bet you weren't a stranger to edition38 then

Cheers bro, it breaks my heart the amount of blood and sweat that i put into that, i just couldnt afford management so it underfueled and melted a piston!

I was running over 22PSI of boost and even with a 250 KPA sensor and a custom JABBA chip the standard ECU couldnt be mapped.

Would have been around 300BHP which most probly would have been the most powerfull 8v Rado in the country!

The thing i miss the most was the BBM charger wyne! Sounds like a old war serian goin off!

LOL and yer i know edition 38 very well...;)
