Assasination in Dubai

How would you distinguish between a European, an Australian, an American, Canadian etc if all were white?

Perhaps he has super powers.........

From: http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/middle_east/8519366.stm

"If the Israeli government was party to behaviour of this kind it would be a serious violation of trust between nations," he said.

Not as if this a-partite terrorist state really gives a crap with the unconditional support they seem to enjoy from the worlds superpowers and poodles.

That group of mug shots looked European to me, the same way you you can generally pick out the various nationalities when you're on holiday. It's not an exact science CJ, they just looked European to me - Generally.

Might not be, doesn't really matter.

Ending up with a super power that would enable someone to pick out people's exact nationalities would be a sh!tter If you thought of all the better options.

Actually it would have been quite handy for those Police that shot the imigrant in the subway.

otherwise it's not been proven who carried out the killing or why, so it's hard to say wether it is justified or not.

Interesting that both you and Imi are quick to jump on this and yet when I asked a question (in two different threads) about Islam and the 9 year old being allowed to get married, you both chose to ignore me.

What? I didn't notice that message where you asked that. I'll answer it now.

I think religion on the whole has become outdated and obsolete.

Science can prove alot these days and religion just seems to beget violence and perversion. I'm not just referring to the violence of extremist Islam either, regular reports of Paedophile priests in Christianity hardly encourage faith.

Just to veer tangentially off topic, given CJ's post, I am beginning to feel a certain affinity to arranged marriages. When I look around at friends, family and even unknown couples in the street I can't help often thinking that they may have done far better having someone else decide on a suitable mate. I was going to post a thread the other day asking why people spend hours debating a dog or horse's pedigree, bloodline and health history before buying a new pet, yet seem to stagger into a hugely important decision like who to marry and breed WITH with scant or no regard to looking into the future spouse's history :) Is this yet another "final taboo"? If it is of debatable merit I may do just that, and start a new thread. Time for some controversy in here :) I miss Michael, he's gone very quiet.

Didnt ignore you at all, was way too busy yesterday to be on here.

I am aware of one of the threads you mentioned, will dig it up and see whether I can respond or not.

I agree with this bit. I watched a programme a few years ago where family and friends 'picked' a suitable person and it was so much better to have those key people involved. Whether I agree with having no choice but to marry a stranger is another matter.

This is quite easy.

The European would be wearing brighly coloured clothes - like Geoffrey out of Rainbow.

The Australian would be donning a hat, probably with corks.

The American would have the mullet & tache. And would of course be very fat.

The Canadian would the one in the lumberjack shirt.

I think that covers it.

Very true, but as long as the prospective spouses could have the final say, or at least a short list, as I'd prefer to know if my lovely new wife had a beard or not, etc. :)

As for Michael, I think he's gone quiet because he's a 'c*nt'. Allegedly. ;)
