I've just done my tax return and the accountant sent me a screenshot from HMRC showing that the company I worked through (I'm a consultant) that was supposed to be paying my tax and NIC contributions had in actual fact paid NONE! They tried to dissolve the company and it's apparently now in administration pending litigation!

 

I'm furious. I now have to pay the tax AGAIN as the taxman doesn't care about people stealing your money, only that they get theirs.
