Gerry
My NSF Lower Ball Joint Gator has split and needs replacing. I've searched (for a change) and see that you can't get them as a seperate part, so am looking for a new arm complete. Unless you know different ? If I do need a whole new arm, perhaps Nic etc could pm me the cost. Cheers G PS. I did talk to Matt at AFR about doing it which would be great, but I'm trying to get out of a four hour round trip if poss.

Homer
You will need a whole new arm gerry, the balls joints cannot be bought seperately. Nic is not currently trading, but I would highly recommend Whifbitz. They have been offering stock Toyota items (especially suspension) at a great discount over Toyota, even Steve Manley. Also AFR might well have a 2nd hand one for much less, I don't beleive they resell new Toyota parts.
merckx
I bought a new arm when the boot split a few years ago. Absolutely ridiculous. If it happens again I'm going to look for another boot as there's nothing special about it. I had a look at the old one a few months ago and it actually has a part number moulded into the rubber. The number may not be listed on the Toyota EPC but I'll find one to fit from somewhere. The part number on mine was 43324-22050 - C A6 (It may be different from yours). edge
I had the same issue with the gt4 as i accidently split one as i missed with the hammer. Took it off. cleaned all the grease out and glued it. Its still going strong today after being thrashed about on sweedish rally stages. Kirk
1 thing that always gets me is people who complain how expensive the arms are. It was a 40k+ GT/Sports car when it came out, its no longer in production. What was you expecting?? Modern day cars of similiar spec cost alot more than that so consider yourself lucky. It was a 40k+ GT/Sports car when it came out, its no longer in production. What was you expecting?? Modern day cars of similiar spec cost alot more than that so consider yourself lucky. What were you expecting? It's only a simple Toyota with a powerful engine. You expect to be able to just replace the boot or the balljoint, a boot that costs a couple of quid is split and they won't make them available so you have to spend £200 instead. Manufacturers do this all the time, it's just a complete and utter waste of money and materials. It's a separate part that can be easily removed so why don't they sell them? Chris Wilson
Or find someone with a worn bushed or ball jointed arm and buy the boot off them before they bin it.
pistonbroke
If you take the arm off and measure it, you could source some from a place like this http://www.southwalesprops.co.uk/propshaft/consumables/ball_joint.htm http://www.balljointboots.co.uk/

Boot is in good condition, I will double check if you are interested. PM me Hi mate, Yes, please , if you can check on the condition of the boot that would be good. Obviously if I can buy just the boot to fit from the net I will though. Please let me know how much you want for it (the arm complete). Why did you take it off ? Cheers Gerry

miko_supra
Yup just checked and the boot is fine, no splits, nothing. You can have just the boot if you want. Do you have some locking wire to fit it or do you want a strand of that too?
