I'm pretty sure with speech like that you don't own an elise, more likely a saxo which is why you couldnt leave him.

I would suggest you look around the forum. You will see that there are many members here who use the same type of speech and punctuation (or lack thereof) but they seem to be tolerated as they own a Supra.

Im not one of the grammar police though and get all upset because someone's got something wrong, i agree that txt speak should be jumped on but having your say when your not perfect either make's me laugh.

Hmm. You're?

I prefer TXT SPK to people who just blatently make no sense, at all. Thank you please.

Ahh, it did - but I started a new paragraph to move on to a new topic :)

Yes i noticed you cunningly used a new paragraph, thats possibly in my opinion worse than spelling mistakes when folks just ramble on with no paragraphs, even if they use Capitals and full stops.

It is the complete lack of any punctuation whatsoever that gets to me. If you look at one of my prior posts in this thread, you will see a link to a recent example. Not only were there no full stops but the whole thing could probably have been put into 2 paragraphs - never mind one long sentence! :)

for the reason below whats the fastest unbeatable road car for reasonable money

Bought a lotus elise to get quicker couldnt leave a jag tonight why went from the lights 50 metres sat at the side playing then round the roundabout thought nail it in second as we leave did do and there he stayed right at my side down the dual carrage way about 5 or 10m feet behind for about 3 quarters of a mile til we both laid off i came home embarrassed didnt know a old 2 ton jag could do that

The reason you got your ass spanked is a dodgy gasket between the steering wheel and driver seat.

Yes i totally agree with you but what annoys me more is being jumped on for using the wrong your lol or spelling something incorrectly.

Actually what really gets my back up is folks on here who don't practice what they preach and aren't so clever either but are happy to point out others errors !

We are not all A level or even O level English standard and thats just life im afraid but dont give us poor fools that aren't so perfect a hard time over it.

When someone blatently hasn't made an effort then yes fine rip them to pieces, or as Mr Burns would say " release the hounds Smithers " :D

Anyway back to the original question. I think Lotus are crap unless you want a road legal go-kart that weighs a bag of chips. Even then the Exige (spell) is the one to have for even more umph in a toy that weighs nothing.

Econ25 had an Elise in that purple colour and charged around after our mates Skyline like he was being towed on the country lanes with bends but just can't do anything on a flat out sprint. He has since traded up for a canary yellow R34 which Im pleased to say I whiped the snot out of every given oppertunity - He still states the Elise was for the fun factor and the Liner for the grunt and only disslikes Supra's as I have one and it's always fcuked !

Back to the Elise, I am hardly the Stig yet on my first track day when my Supra was TT I was killing everything in straight lines and normal bends including M3's, a Porsche, Cat 7 and Elises's but as soon as I had to 'drive' on bends ect that Elise would be like it was on rails and build such a lead not even the straight was enough to claw it back.

I agree with what one of the others said earlier - BPU TT, Evo's the wrong side of 20k mark for what you get IMO and Subaru's are mostly knackered. Skyline's I think are just minging (in general) yet they are great cars. I'd go Supe everytime hence why Im on here and own one

A)The wife wanted one

or

B) I left my current job to be a hairdresser and needed a car to reflect that

Mk1V's all the way ;)

Take the Supra blonkers off for a minute will you lol

The Elise is a cracking little car, it all depends on the way you drive and where you drive. It's never in a million years going to be faster than anything turbo'd etc or even a big V8.

What it does is handles, very well. If the standard power isn't quite enough for you, there's always a K20 conversion with supercharger?

I for one would have an Elise over a Supra, but only if it was a second car (they're hardly practical).
