reeceu
does anyone know what the size of the bleed nipple is. i have single pot j-spec rears and managed to sheer it off tightening it off (bloody idiot) any tips to get the old one out too would be great, cheers
miko_supra
I'd get a new caliper. Not that expensive and if you've over tightened the bleed nipple you may have fractured the caliper, which could eventually result in a complete failure of the brake unit and system. Chris Wilson
You may get it out by tapping a male Torx bit down the bore of the remaining nipple, but if you snap THAT off you are in the proverbial. I am 90% sure you can buy just the nipples off Toyota, but a good brake specialist will have them, too. Why people think these things need tightening down like a piece of the Forth Bridge I don't know, the torque figure is very low. The little finger round the correct sized combination spanner is easily capable of over tightening one. They just need nipping up.
