Tony
Damned right. I once followed a woman accross a busy car park after seeing her pull out of a mother/toddler space. I shouted and waved at her while she was in traffic, until she opened her window. The look on her face as i shouted 'YOU'VE FORGOTTEN YOUR F$$$ING BABY' was an absolute picture!! My Hero! marc_p
I always take up 2 spaces since this happened: http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/showpost.php?p=2014926&postcount=
Holden1989
You should still be able to get it in, they are not that tall, i can get in most even with my ladders on the roof bars. Spotlights mounted on the rear bars Im about 2cm's under 2m, on level ground
bignum
As tim pointed out (link to consumer forums) you can get away with paying privately run car park schemes fines, just ignore all the letters;)

Abz
Nobody forces you to drive a Supra though, being fair to everyone else in the car park - they manage. Plus, the Supra's not that big. My 5 series is harder to park and that's no problem in car parks. And nobody forces someone to open a car door with no respect to the vehicle which is parked next to them. They manage as most of the standard cars have rubber strips so then just open the door till they hear dong (thinking they have hit the plastic strips) though sometimes cars don't have these plastic strips like the Supra and a lot of other exotic sport cars/prestige cars. I always take up 2 spaces since this happened: http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/showpost.php?p=2014926&postcount=14 You used your car door to damage his car I would have just punched his window(s)
merckx
it was empty!! and i was a good 5 mins walk from the store not as if they were all full. Why did you use 2 spaces if it was empty? I never use 2 spaces for the reason that I know other drivers value their ordinary cars just as much as a flash sports car, they would be thinking what gives them the right to use 2 spaces when the rest of us don't and preventing another car from parking. Diliberate damage could be far worse than an accidental dent.

Then when you come back you get some numbty parked right beside you, like a baw hair away. and almost 9 times out of 10, they've dinked your door Thats why i parked miles away, and in 2 bays. TBH i'll keep doing it if im in the supra and so happen i need stuff at that parlicular time. if im in the pug i'll park in 1 bay and dont really care what happens to it. I mean if left keys in it hoping some twat nicks her.

I wish I had the photo still on my old phone... went to Asda 2am on a Wednesday or Thursday morning (was working till late) and Asda in Docklands is pretty big, loads of empty spaces. I just swung it round & parked in a spot which was empty (In fact the whole 30 spaces in the row were apart from one in the end). Due to the poor lock on the Supra I ended up a little close to the right hand side of the bay but due to it being late & pretty tired I didn't reverse it in so it was 100% central. Come out 20 minutes later & couldn't believe my eyes A silver Honda Accord parked right next to mine out of all the spaces & to top it off parked it closer to the left side of the bar (almost on the line!). I couldn't get into my car!!! I was really frustrated & took photo's to show how much of a plonker he/she was, hoping they would catch me in the action. Then I would have replied "Taking this as evidence that dumb people still exist". Anyway waited with my shopping outside for roughly 5-10 minutes then gave up and clambered in from the passenger seat into the drivers seat. How this person did not notice the other 30 spaces in that row I will never know. In an empty car park I always park 1 space away to ensure enough room. merckx
Thats why i parked miles away I used to do that but not anymore. A relatively quiet section of a car park is ideal for car thieves, I learnt that lesson with my van.
Getrag
This exact same thing happened to me. In the very end of the huge Tesco car park, late evening, next to empty. Over 2 spaces and the fkrs gave me a ticket.
edinlexusV8
I feel sorry for you matey! When ever I go to the shopping centre all of these things about parking always go through my head and the f**king car parking slots are so small that we cannot get out of the car decently if we have a coupe (which we all have in here). I always try and park in places which says family or trolly which generally have some extra space between parking slots. But I cannot believe that you got a ticket in TESCO! WTF! Snooze
Well - surely the most effective and sensible thing to do if you don't like Tesco's car park policies is just to not shop there. That'll be what makes them suffer the most.

adnanshah247
no wonder their prices are now lower than Asda, there making their profits from parking tickets! genius! lol
ozz
I think you are more likely to have trouble parking like that as it draws attention to the car. If its a nice car stuck out on its own its a target. If its parked across two bays then you could get people parking close to you just to prove a point. martini
You choose to be the size you are so if you take extra room and get a ticket it is no-ones fault but your own. I didn't choose to be 6ft2... I did choose to put on muscle though, so that's fine. Same being fat* (i.e. your choice). You don't choose your height though, and being tall makes it a pain to get in and out of cars when dickheads park too close. Why do people with cars worth 6k+ park next to these cheap, old Toyotas? brilliant!
johnny g
You did choose the car you drive though. Some cars are easier to get in and out of. I'm a fatty and I don't moan.

Matt H
Geo, If I was in tesco in my other car, and saw you had parked across two bays, I would have parked mine so close to your's that you would have had to get in through the boot!
