Geo
So i went to Tesco today to put some more Psi in my tyres(see other thread) i nipped into the Store to pick up my food for my diet iv started for my hols. So since iv had back surgery, i kinda get stiff now and again. So i park miles away from the store over 2 spaces as so one parks beside and opens the door and dents it. So i can walk a good bit and stretch off my back. I come back to the car and iv got a parking ticket stating that iv parked over 2 spaces and not is the designated parking bays. WTF??? stating the terms and conditions of parking at Tesco. Well im not the smallest of people as some might know, so i march back into the store and demand WTF is this all about?? Long story short, i speak to the manager and ask why someone has touched my car?? i protest over ticket ALOT!!! i get off with it, with alot of questions and im a customer and they can shove it if they dont fix it, etc. Still im not happy!! FUDS!!
deathmonkey
Bet the manager crapped him(her!)self! Least you got away with it mate, could've been worse! And your car could've been dented by someone a little jealous... but it wasn't! Rest up dude.
Matt H
Did you park over two spaces? Pet hate!!!! I bet getting stiff on your way into tesco raises a few eyebrows
RedM
You choose to be the size you are so if you take extra room and get a ticket it is no-ones fault but your own.
Abz
I honestly think we need special bays for cars like ours. I demonstrated the other day that due to the width of our cars we can just about get them into the bays & then we have such a small gap to get out of! An if you have any cars next to you (Chances are they don't care) They will just wack the door open! (As normally family cars have rubber strips!). It's a pet hate of mine for people to park across two bays. Doesn't matter if the car park was empty or not, if everyone was the same as you, then Tesco's car park would have 50% of it's designed capacity
The Raven
This is dumb! They should ticket those assholes that park in the kiddy bays, My mrs asked one of the if the head children the other day. She responded that she was "just picking one up" To which my mrs said "they sell them now do they" Que her husband hanging out his car shouting "fuck off just fuck off" Till he saw that it wasnt just my mrs in the car he shut up, when returned to the car he had moved. Asshole

Nobody forces you to drive a Supra though, being fair to everyone else in the car park - they manage. Plus, the Supra's not that big. My 5 series is harder to park and that's no problem in car parks. scotty71
Im with Geo on this, whether its the Supe, my old cossie, or another car I cherrished I too park a distance from the store and park (not literally over two bays) but in a position where I will not get dinged by a trolley by some fat ass who doesnt care about there rusty nail and just flings their car door open onto yours. People in all walks of life have no respect for others property so I ,parking away from the shop am trying to protect what I enjoy and put money into (my car) not for some idiot to scrape/ding the bodywork. Maybe, but you do have IMHO ridiculously large muscles. Also, using your size to 'intimidate' the Tesco employee. That's weak. IMO.

jon5698
When i take the L200 to the shops it takes up 1 and a 1/4 bays in length, i would love to see them give me a ticket for that lol. I don't think they can fine you though can they? is it not just a warning?

Porky1978
This is dumb! They should ticket those assholes that park in the kiddy bays Damned right. I once followed a woman accross a busy car park after seeing her pull out of a mother/toddler space. I shouted and waved at her while she was in traffic, until she opened her window. The look on her face as i shouted 'YOU'VE FORGOTTEN YOUR F$$$ING BABY' was an absolute picture!!

Guigsy
i park in tesco bays and can get in and out just fine. it can be a struggle sometimes but its not much of an issue. I also park as close to the door as i can because im a lazy sod. and despite being paranoid about someone whacking my door with theirs ive never had it happen. parking over 2 bays is irritating. but at the quiet end of the carpark i didnt mind so much it doesnt realy matter does it. What did peve me off was where i used to work someone turned up in a range rover, sport and in a carpark that only took about 35 cars and overflowed every day plonked it right in 2 spaces. Now a range rover is a big car. but you can still get it between the lines. and i know that 4 people got out of it (i was behind him going into the parking space) but he could have just told everyone to get out before pulling in. Because he parked over 2 spaces and took the last 2 spaces in the carpark i had to park my supe out on the road with HGV's going past it all day. gerrrrr
Tourniquet
I agree with the muscled monkey :-) hehe. I park across two bays when space permits and usually in the furthest corner because of said fcuk knuckles. No one cares and no one else is going to pay for any damage so I don't give a stuff. I won't do it if it's busy but even when I have parked in the deepest darkest corner of an empty car park miles away from the shop I usually come back and find the only other car in the whole car park has chosen to park right next to mine !!! wtf. MattP
your lucky you got off with it all the supermarkets tesco asda etc around where i live are owned by the council and they dont negotiate ifs or buts you park over 2 bays your fined your cars damaged on there car park its your own fualt as they have a disclaimer on the boards and as they have started putting in bold on the signs now if you dont like it park elsewhere good effort though as another member said you must have scared him with your speedo bulge
