I was in my garage and heard a light bang looked out the door to see a car grinding its way along my delica, i walked out to see the driver pulling into the parking space behind my delica, then as another car past going in the opposite direction the car that hit my delica went to pull away !!

I ran out to see an oldish lady trying to drive away so i tapped on her window to stop her,she said she thought she had hit somthing but wasnt sure in a very slurred way,

she took about 8 attempmts to get into a reasonable size parking space then gave up,

she got out still slurring saying she didnt now think she hit my delica i had to point out her paint on it and show her the damage to her own car !!

ive called the police because i think she was drunk and now waiting to see if they come back to me,

its the 3rd non fault accident ive had in two years but its just pushing my premiums up and up !!

Unlucky mate. I'd have whipped the keys out of her car and waited for the police to arrive if I thought she was drunk.

Someone did that to me once and I almost had them done for theft. I was not pleased at ALL. And no I wasn't drunk :p

The uni campus security claimed I almost ran someone over despite the idiot who claimed this being drunk out of his face. Police refused to come after hearing the cock and bull story didn't add up and I sent a very heavy handed letter to the universtiy afterwards, calling for the dean of the uni to explain their actions.

Animal that's not wise unless you can definitely prove they are in the wrong.

You nearly had them done for theft? Isn't that nearly a bit extreme???

Taking someones cars keys which aren't yours against someone's will is stealing.

If there was clear cut obvious reason as to why you did it, e.g. to prevent a drink driver going on the road, that's fair enough, at least in the eyes of the law I'd expect. Going on claims of a drunk who claimed he was almost run over when he was clearly unscaved and fine is ridiculous. And they only gave me the keys 24 hours later (why?.. I don't know). That is theft.

I was a student at the time btw.
