Smallshinyant
So i was playing around trying to get some insurance quotes online, im 30 male and live in not to bad an area. But have only 1 years NCB as most of my working life i have had company cars. Anyway... Got a quote from admiral of £667 which i thought was not to bad(i still have more quotes to get), then i thought that the wife wanted to have a go at learning to drive so for a laugh i would try adding her to the insurance to see what would happen. So adding my wife also 30, with a provisional license held for 1 month DECREASED my insurance quote! Im not complaining about cheaper insurance infact now i need to go back add try adding her for my other quotes. But never thought a learner driver could lower my insurance. tbourner
Learners are a lower risk generally, because they drive very carefully and within the law, and have someone sitting next to them at all times telling them to slow down and indicate more etc.

I presume the same insurance for the 1 month provisional would also cover her if she qualified.

To which they will undoubtedly say it's going up!
