SimonT
Sort of on topic but not What are people's opinions on cheap gauges like oil temp and water temp etc?? Do you pay for what you get or are you just paying for the name when you buy Blitz etc??

Not a big brand, but not cheapo £10 crap as they are just too inaccurate for my liking.

Is there anything in particular you would recommend or have used before?? Ive seen swoosh dials basically they look like Defi but they are £32.50 each which just makes me think they are pants! I just want to start keeping an eye on things and i really dont trust the stock temp gauge!
Terminator
What are people's opinions on cheap gauges like oil temp and water temp etc?? You do get what you pay for, best to go for a brand that has a good track record. My personal opinion is Greddy makes pretty good relaible gauges, they rarely go wrong. Defi are over priced and gimmicky. It really depends what you want a gauge to do. If looks is everything then go for Deifi. If function is more important than looks then some, Blitz,HKS and Greddy gauges second hand, can be a good buy. On our track car we used British made gauges, not the prettiest but they were accurate and reliable and a lot cheaper.

SimonT
Ok i'll stay away from the cheap ones then I have a Blitz Mirror boost gauge and like the idea of matching ones but when it comes to the temp gauges they both look identical which i think would bug me but ill have a look around at the Greddy ones
