Rally car hits mother and child... who escape uninjured

no sympathy from me for the simple reason being on any rally marshals always keep spectators away from the outside of bends, this is for obvious reasons and standing there and moving towards there in those conditions is just asking for trouble. Its a tarmac stage in the wet, basically urban ice.

i dont get it, did she put the driver off or something? Yeah it was stupid to run across the track, but the car hit loads of other people aswell

She ran her and her child straight across a busy rally stage road with cars travelling at silly MPH sideways. She then stood watching a car coming out of control towards her and her presumed child. You don't think that is just plain stupid?

If I was in a similar situation the kid would have been thrown about 10 feet into the crowd. I wouldn't have just stood like a dizzy rabbit caught in headlights. Anytime a car is going to hit you, this goes for all times.. not just rally stages, jump.... jump as high as you can. Don't just stare and think "oh shit".

Notice how the young guy gets out of the way quick enough, had his wits about him.

Its a standard rule (not only for marshalls)..... "do not stand on the outside of the bends...."
