Scott
.... bit bored at work this arvo and did my usual mistake of looking around t'internet at motors. Now i dont want to sell my Supra at all, but theres a few cars ive seen now which ive always wanted. please feel free to rip apart from the list below to stop my silly mind wandering!!! 1. Evo 6 GSR 2. BMW E46 M3 3. TVR Cerbera (unreliable?) 4. Crysler 300C (juicy?) 5. Monaro 6. Focus RS Help me stop the madness!!! Evo's are boring. Unless you go for something like the one on here (Gazza is selling) you are going to be bored... quickly. In all honestly it doesn't really matter how much power one has, the interest will only last so long. BMW E46 is a decent car, it ain't no Supra as far as looks or performance go though. It's a bit of a rep mobile if I am honest. TVR, now you are talking. If you want something different with a bit of bite then this is definitely the car you want to be driving. TVR's are just very special IMO. Of course the massive downfall is the reliability. Great fun when they are working though. 300c? *Slap* Boredom is no excuse! Monaro - Unless you modify it to something along the lines of what Jamie P did I wouldn't bother. I would absolutely LOVE a VRX8 but I would need to have a blower on it. I would honestly get rid of the Supra for a chance to own a special one of these. Focus RS - Upper class chav chariot. I absolutely Love RS Fords, I always have. If I was a millionaire I would have one. They don't have the prestige of the Supra, even though the Supra is ancient. It is just a fast hatchback, and nothing particularly special on the road. Oh, and FWD?? No thanks.

Oh, and FWD?? No thanks. All good points but a few things to note: The handling on the Cerbera is lethal... much worse than the Supra and quite unmanageable in general. Build quality is awful, but when you sit in one all that will melt into nothing. They really are special cars to be in. The older style Focus RS is a seriously under-rated car. Massive amounts of lift-off oversteer is possible and the Quaife diff is impressive at putting the power down. If I was buying another hot hatch I'd seriously consider a older Focus RS. I'd have one over a new one, in fact. Have you considered the Megane R26.R? That'll lap a track quicker than 95% of the Supras on here... jevansio
Cerbera , I wish I had bought one before the 911, it's not a car I'd go back to now, but I'd love to own one for a summer

nigelboyne
supercharged monarovxr 6 liter 500+ hp cool. love the looks and those seats they look the most comfortable i ever seen
pbryant_knight
Out of your list, i'd have the Monaro. far better than the rest. Plus, you could re-badge it as a Pontiac GTO or a Holden at any time Steer clear of the BMW. They're Cockmobiles and are far too common on the roads. Decent car, brother inlaw has one and good all round car imo but lacking a tad in low end grunt 2. Love em, its something ive always fancied myself, check out this bad boy with a supercharged LS lump. http://www.pistonheads.com/gassing/topic.asp?h=0&f=13&t=715952&mid=57009&nmt=Supercharged%20LS1%20Cerb%20on%20the%20road%20%20*Photo%20intensive* 3. Ive had a few evo's, the handling is good fun but they just bore me after a bit, any distance driving in them drives me up the wall, noisy and rev hard on the motorway. 4. Good car, very much enjoyed mine with the charger, a little heavy to chuck about though, couple of videos of my old car below. 5. I think you would get bored of FWD very quickly, decent car but feel a bit of a toy. 6.
Scott
Bit strange that you edited your post to change the order of the list lol. Trying to look less daft by putting the 300c to the bottom?

Jamesy
Thanx a lot guys. Lol, na scott i edited my post before the 1st reply. Dont know why but always quite liked the look of the 300c. jamie your monaro is fecking lovely mate. That would go down a treat. My favourite out the list is the cerbera, but after spending a lot of time with matt @ afr ive now realised just how unreliable they are. Shame as i'd love one but dont think its an everyday motor. More of a wkend toy for the rich! the m3 is very affordable, good for the kids, great looks and packs a punch. The rs focus is a great car, been out in one and just a bluefin chip and few minor mods is a beast. But then i look at the supra, take it for a blast and get that big grin on me chops!!! SimonT
I would love a Monaro if i ever sold my Supra i think they look lovely! Not to everyone's taste though! The problem is i know absolutley nothing about them, reliability etc etc Ive heard the one to get is the Monkfish tuned one but that still doesn't mean a hell of a lot to me

The problem is i know absolutley nothing about them, reliability etc etc Ive heard the one to get is the Monkfish tuned one but that still doesn't mean a hell of a lot to me Monkfish is a tuning company specialising in Monaro's as far as I know. I could be wrong but I don't think there is an official Monkfish tuned one, there are Monkfish tuning packages to increase the power levels. I think Jamie might have had all his work done at Monkfish, again I could be wrong though.
JamieP
I did have it done by Monkfish, they did a decent job and they are very highly recomended by the hsv club but tbh i wish i went with RapidGB, after i learned a little about them i preferd the RapidGB supercharger kit and also RapidGB do custom maffless maps instead of just uploading a gerneric map like monkfish did. SimonT
How would you compare a Monaro to a BPU Supra in general usage and performance Jamie??
JamieP
Monaro VXR wont be as quick as a bpu supra, be about the same as a stock supra id guess, sling a cam and exhaust on it and you have 500bhp though, add a supercharger on that and you are 600+bhp, mine was not bad on juice, averaged about 20mpg. Jamesy
Thanx jamie, so for a couple of mods u got a 5 seater, 500+ hp monaro Whats yor mates m3 e46 like? Just wish te cerbera wasnt so crap reliably else it'd be a no brainer to get one!!!
JamieP
E46 M3 is a great car imo but id still rather a supra tbh, B5 RS4 is also a good car consider, my business partner has one.
dr_jekyll
i love the e46 m3 its a real allrounder. comfortable, practical, beutifull imho, makes a great raspy noise and moves at the higher end. and bmw build quality is allways good. as for the 300c, what a p.o.s possibly the most disapointing thing i have ever driven. if you over 6ft the masssssive steering wheel will prevent you steering and the v6 is as week as p1ss. tvr = fast coffin. monaro never driven one but like the look of them. focus, well its FWD and for that reason...... im out
Jamesy
so we're looking at: 1. M3 2. Monaro 3. TVR 4,5,6. Meh
