clarky666
Morning folks, OK this is not a windup or an early April fools or anything so i will apologise now for being thick. There is a story behind this which i will go into later but in the mean time i need a quick bit of help with this. http://i.imagehost.org/0308/ToyotaSupra.jpg Can someone tell me what each of these are going from the outside of the cluster to the inside ? I'm thinking it should be fog light, then main beam and then full beam. The orange one below being the indicator. Is this correct. The reason i am asking is i am getting nothing - aside from the dash iluminating - when i turn the indicator stalk one click forward which i am assuming should be side lights, but as i say no external bulbs lighting up? Two clicks forward on the stalk and the middle bulb lights up and then in course flicking it forward the inside bulb (full beam) comes on. Turning fog light bit on the stalk then lights up the bulbs on the outside of the cluster. I'm thinking i'm a bit dense for this time of the morning but what should be lighting up when the stalk is turned on one click for side lights? Animal
In between the fog light (outermost) and main beam, is a little lense - they should light up with the switch in position 1.
clarky666
Ahh ok mate. I think i see what has happened here....... Car is a face lift and had a horrid blitz front wing on it originally when i bought it. I ended up getting it back to stock following someone hitting me at work - every cloud has a silver lining and all that. Just been googling some facelifts and think i see now that they have front indicators with side lights built into them? Looks like the coach works ordered the wrong indicators and has fitted pre-facelift indicators meaning that my car has no side lights. That sound correct? This will be an MOT issue i'm guessing. Easy to pick these up ?
Thorin
No, no, you've got it all wrong. The orange ones are main beam!

Facelift indicators are easy enough to get hold of.. You would think that a garage/body shop would have noticed an extra set of lights/cables left dangling, I hope they haven't snipped them off. clarky666
Okey dokey. Hopefully everything is still intact! If they have left the loom as it should be are there any hidden nasty surprises or should it be a straight swap out ?
