Exactly, come here and play by our rules, simple as that.

'If' Britain is so full of spongers and the Polish are gods gift to work then why the hell do they all look to come here, I mean why is Poland not doing brilliantly with all those honest hard workers ?

Money paid for honest job here is still better then in Poland, not for long tho. Poland is actually doing brilliant, I think it was only country which get through crisis without bigger scratches, our economic growth is one of few only in Europe on plus, Poles are moving back to their home country, worry not.

Main thing you seems to forget Paul is - your government sold Poland among other Eastern block countries to Stalin. At the time when you was enjoying steady stream of money and other goods from USA (and your reglamentation was really a laugh - oh those home gardens with veg growing to avoid starving hah!) , we was sitting under grip of best sponger around - Russia.

Eastern block thrown chains in 1989 (movement started by Poland btw) and we was 40 years behind Western Europe! Do not worry Paul, Poles will move out from here very soon, we are catching up very fast and doing well without any help other then our hard work and commitment.

Btw. my mates are having REAL contact with british cowboys every day, but they are not going around seeding hatred because of it, they just laugh. Should I mention about middle class Briton hitting my polish friend on bike and running away? What should I say?

I dont really care where anyone comes from as long as they do their best to work and to pay their way, there are plenty of brits that dont follow this principle !

I have my parents living in Spain, they are retired and will never give anything back to the country other than their brummy attitude to life and my dads handy man skills :D, they went there as the weather and lifestyle are better than here, good luck to them, thing is Spain welcomed them and I expected them to do so, we own a villa there also which we use as and when we need, in fact I am going over to play golf next week, not to contribute just take :)

This world is no longer big enough to segregate, I paid a fortune in tax this year and the lazy repulse me but I welcome all to this county if they contribute and I would expect the same if I travel :)

So you're saying that all Polish people and tradesman are honest and hardworking ? I think not.

There is good and bad in all, if they are legal and abide by our laws etc. then fair play, that goes for both Polish and British IMO.

Ah, but it's not a gift is it? Poles owes you nothing, they do work, not steal.

To be fair the ones we are commenting on don't pay tax and therefore do steal in a way. Again though, like the guy I mentioned, they tend to work harder and get paid less than the UK citizens working next to them so I guess it sort of evens itself out.

I totally agree it is our government & employers that need to sort themselves out. People are only out to make a living at the end of the day.

As long as when you are in Rome you do as the Romans I have no issue. I know of a lot of the opposite going on though, as do most other people.

Every Polish person I have met has been lovely, I have worked with about 5 of them. All of them worked hard, were polite, very calm temperament and fun. They were also not afraid to speak their mind if they had a problem.

One culture that certainly has not adapted well to our society is the african culture. I am not generalising, I deal with about 40 african people a day, 1 in every 100 is polite, says please and thank you etc, the rest are rude, want things for nothing and think the world revolves around them. I have never experienced such behaviour from any race of people, not east asians, south asians, australasians, south americans, eastern europeans or North americans.

So far I've had four Polish ladies and gentlemen living in my house.

I'm still impressed with their manners and work ethic etc etc and I also thank them deeply for their money which they give me - on time, every time, no funny "...Sorry, I have not got rent this month..." business.

It would be very wrong to put pictures of the girls up, but they are stunning. I don't think Mrs Lbm would be too happy either.
