I worked on all versions of the Merlin for a long time... the RAF version is just a bus... the Navy version is a different thing altogether. I know where you work then Yeah its a bus, designed to fly over cities, not fitted with 3 machine guns and armour, carrrying underslung loads.... Even buses carry luggage... . The machine 'guns' are there for a reason as I'm sure you know. Although maybe buses should carry them around certain areas of the country as well... The fact is, it's a (ok, fine, medium lift) transport helicopter. Clue is in the name. And no you don't - I don't work there anymore.
