Fox
Wondering if someone could point me in the right direction. This week i should have a collection of new parts for my supra. All of which i would like to fit this weekend all being well Parts include.... 1, APEXI Power Intake 2, Veilside Teardrop Exhaust 3, HKS Fuel Cut Defender 4, GReddy Boost Gauge 5, HKS Downpipe Now here is my problem! (1) The Veilside Teardrop is a cat back system! so to finish my BPU Stage do i need one cat replacement pipe OR do i need Both? (2) I havent got a clue as to which Boost/ piggy back systems would be best suited to my needs. I hoping to get 400bhp out of my supra at this stage and when i take her off the road this winter i will fit a small single. Im looking at the GReddy e-Manage /E01 set up. I hope to have a min of 550 once i go single running optimax, can the GReddy e-Manage cope with this and could it be remaped latter when i go single with out any problems? Thanks for any help and advice!!

You won't get much improvement if you leave one cat in place. The HKS downpipe in your list, which cat does that replace, just the first one? Folks like Ian C and Alex H are successfully running the e-Manage with single turbos (T67 and T61 respectively). I'm not sure about the "without any problems" part, properly mapping a Supra isn't always straightforward. You need to be aware that there may be some teething problems. Mapping for bigger injectors and non standard turbos isn't exactly plug and play stuff. Good luck
Nic
Now here is my problem! (1) The Veilside Teardrop is a cat back system! so to finish my BPU Stage do i need one cat replacement pipe OR do i need Both? Depends if you want to remove both cats or just one. You can buy a single cat replacement pipe that will replace both cats, or you can by 2 separate pipes that replace each cat. The 2 pipe option is best as it means that it is easy to put one cat back in for MOT, but these are a little more expensive. Contact Chris Wilson who sells the 2 pipes. I'm advertising an HKS F-con SZ in the For Sale section [thread=38662]HERE[/thread], this comes pre-mapped for the Supra and then can be adjusted to your car by an HKS dealer. The F-Con offers a greater level of mapping compared to the e-manage and can be hooked up to the HKS Navigator to view and adjust mapping. The ECU comes complete with harness that fits between your main harness and the ECU, so no soldering and splicing required it's just a 5 minute job to install. The F-con is the ECU that most of the Japanese use when going single.
jase_93tt
Speaking Ecu's, whats the best budget option for a 93 TT A/T ? Most ecu's Ive seen are for manual cars only. I was speaking to Junichi at Jun in Tokyo in March and he recommends the FCON V PRO, and can remap it to suit A/T cars no problem. Albeit the map isnt 100% finished as you still have to adjust it to suit each cars mods. I was interested until I heard the price for the ecu (!). E-Manage seems the way to go for thos with A/T cars on a budget ecu swap. ?? J
