stevie_b
When you say "can't get the car going", what makes you think it's alarm-related? Is the alarm going off when you connect the battery up? What are the symptoms you are getting?
Guest mcphil199
Yes mate. When i hook the battery up the alarm goes off, and the button on the alarm remote won't seem to turn it off. When i put the key in the ignition, and go to turn the car over its as if the imobilisers kicked in. Have to get this sorted for MOT on monday or im screwed! trinitom
i think you may have to input some sort of code, to activate the remote.
AJI
There should be an overide code to enter through using the ignition barrel and the key. OR you may have a 'master' or 'castle' key to reset the security system. Check through your security documentation or look up the procedure on the Sigma website? The security at the moment will be in full anti-theft mode.....it should just require a re-set. (hopefully the above method, if you have the code will work, if not then sounds like you will have to send it back to the factory........or fit a new system) ETA : My old UK-spec scorpion security system packed in after the first winter time I stored it off road. I did the same thing, the battery went flat and I took it off and replaced it with new. The security didn't like this and went into full anti-theft mode. On the old scorpion systems there was no re-set short of sending it back to the factory. But most these days allow a manual re-set through the key/ignition.
