Removing aircon pulley

Dr_Doom

Recommended Posts

I've had a good search but can't find any answers.

Is there a way of removing the pulley without taking the whole compressor out? When i try to undo the nut it just spins :search:

I've bought a new shorter fan belt to fit as my aircon wasn't working anyway.

Thanks.

In the manual a special tool is used, pages 32-34.

The shaft bolt going though the pressure plate shouldn't be that tight according to the manual. Using a spanner/wrench on something like this and giving it a quick hit may work. Or stick something through the pressure plate/pulley to stop it turning.
