Just testing the water initially to see if theres any interest out there for a TT Aerotop that needs a few odd jobs to bring her up to perfect standard. Price to reflect the few minor jobs that need attending to, currently trying to work out what its worth so any (realistic/helpful) suggestions please feel free to give them!

Black twin turbo auto Aerotop with BPU, 162,269km on the clock. Interior is a bit worn and theres a few tidy up jobs needed but the the car is mechanically sound, runs well and still pulls strong.

New Varta battery just fitted, in for its MOT today which I imagine it will sail through so it will come with 12 months MOT.

For a member to be able to give you a realistic price we would need to be told what exactly the few problems are, we would also need to know the full spec of the car including service history, these things will make a difference. pic of the 'worn' interior will be helpful as well

A black TT Aero is always going to be of interest but the price will be driven out of the above

I am the wrong one to ask BTW on the price as I always get shot down for being too low, thing is do you want it sold now or are you prepared to wait, I would use Pistonheads, Autotrader and here

Thanks for the reply

Problems I know of are:

- Worn interior, drivers seat has a few rips aswell as general wear and tear

- Forward and backwards motor of drivers seat broken, only one side moves!

- Wheels could do with a refurb as they're getting on a bit

- Paintwork is not 100%, few stone chips and such like but no rust

- Interior is generally a bit 'tired', carpets etc

- Cracked dash, looks like the bulbs for the dials etc were replaced poorly by previous owner and caused some minor damage to the plastic dash, also for some reasons the dial lights don't work when the headlights aren't on

- Heater matrix blocked?

Hmmm... looks like a longer list than I thought when you write it down!

Can't put any interior pics up at the moment but will do so at the weekend.

I'll also double check the mods its had done so I can put up a full spec.

Yep that was my point really as that little lot adds up to more than just a few odd jobs to make perfect, still if this is reflected in the price then it should not be an issue really

Still a very rare and sought after car, should still be able to get 7.5k for it? I just sold mine for 10k.

7.5k sounds like a lot, but thanks for the suggestion. I had envisaged it being a fair bit less than that to be honest! But if thats the going rate?

You have the right attitude to the car and value I feel, I do think 7.5K is high for a car that needs a replacement heater matrix, seats, dash and paint

I think it would be snapped up at 4.5-5K

Paint needs touching up in places rather than replacing, I perhaps painted that in a worse light than I should have.

I'll get some more piccies up at the weekend and take it from there. Will mull things over on the price till then.

And after all that its failed its MOT! lol

- Rear foglight

- Needs new rear pads

- Rear offside bush pin needs replacing, too much play

I was contemplating getting it through its MOT and ask for £6k ono, however if someone would be interested now I'd take £5k for it.

Please note it comes with a spare set of standard Supra wheels which I'd bought to make it easier to get the others refurbed and the ones that are on are some nice 18" Veilside ones. More pics here:

how come it had 150km on the clock sept 07. now 140km? a few year later??

Oops! The mileage is a bit higher than I originally thought then, apologies! My wife uses it as a daily drive and I'm away this week so the original info was posted up from memory, I guess my memory is not as good as I thought!

I'll double check the mileage and post up an accurate figure.

And yes, its hpi clear.

So £5k for an out of MOT motor with big miles, tired interior to reflect that, and the mother of all nightmare jobs the heater matrix to replace (left long enough that can blow the head gasket btw). Foglights no biggy, brake pads no biggy, suspension not sure whats involved in that but probably an easy fix. What symptoms are we talking about indicating a blocked matrix? Is by-passed by any chance and if it is how long has it been like that? Paintwork is only really assessable by viewing and one persons OMG is another's ah thats ok. Wheels again to taste (not mine at all).

Sought after car perhaps, enough to take on the dreaded heater matrix fault probably not even at a mega cheap price. In all reality you'd have a much bigger market if you got the matrix done (this is only my opinion and can be discounted as you please)

Thanks for the input, lots to think about there!

I think the heater matrix is blocked because the heating takes ages to warm up and when its got there its not as effective as it should be.

Paintwork isn't perfect but its certainly not am OMG!

Most likely I'll be getting the suspension pads and fog light sorted and will be looking to sell it with full MOT. If interest is limited will certainly consider your heater matrix comment.

Just a quick update, the replacement bushes turned up late yesterday so in the next week or so it'll have a full 12 months MOT once again.

As such the asking price is £6k ono

I'm not in a huge rush to sell the car so won't be accepting any low offers, happy to give more information or piccies to genuinely interested parties with realistic expectations on price

I have to agree with the other comments.

The matrix is what kills it.

I disagree, the matrix isnt such a bad job if your handy with the spanners and read the how to thread on here, if not just give it to Keron to do as he's not charging the earth to do it.

If its only blocked then it could be an even easier fix

Sorry for the delay in getting some decent high res pics up, picked up the car Saturday with a full MOT with the intention of giving it a good clean Sunday so I could take some shots. Unfortunately since Sunday morning its been covered in snow!
