Mint RS Cosworth found yesterday

Stumbled across a very interesting dealer in classic car mag while searching for a decent MGB, headed over to Lower Dunston road in Brentwood Essex yesterday to view 2, a six cylinder MGBC and an MGB Roadster

The dealer is Days Autos and they sell a wide selection of collectables from rust bucket projects to mint cherished cars

The MG's were not for me so I took a wonder round, there were old Yank tanks which some of you know I love, the Plymouth Roadrunner they have ran a 10.something 1/4 mile, very cool and HUGE

Then I came across a mint RS Cosworth in Monstone blue, the most original car I have seen, the interior was 100%,only some silicone pipes and a stainless exhaust were not original, thought it worth a mention and if you like the old RS 500 then this is the car to view

I was very tempted and want it gone to be honest !! :D

Went to spend 3K on an MG and almost went for this RS !

Scroll down to see

I was thinking of another Sapphire before I bought the Supra last month. I sold my Cossie in 2008 for 4k. Paid 4.5k in 2004 for it with 2 previous owners and 76k on the clock. It had 82k on when I sold it but in the last 2 years prices have shot up big style. Cars with 6+ owners and 120k are going for over 6k now!! I always regret selling it but have owned one so didnt want to go back and pay over 2k more than I did in 2004 with more miles/owners. It was nice to own and gave me many a good drive:d

Buy it:d

Nah :D, it was a car I always wanted and one that I never did own

I said to the missus tonight if I had a barn I would fill it with classics and never sell one of my cars again, just store them, sold so many now that I regret parting with

I want a real old classic to go with the Corvette now we have the new Merc for day to day stuff, think an MGB or old Stag look appealing

No bonnet vents on that Sapphire Scotty? Was that just on certain variants of the Sapphire?

bonnets had vents on 3 door early cossies and the sapphire post 91 4x4 only (plus the RS500), mine was a 2WD ;)

Edit: some people added a 4x4 bonnet to 2WD's but as standard only the later spec 4x4 varients had vents plus the RS500
