Testing Boost Video, slight problem

Geo

Recommended Posts

We ran 1.2bar for a while and the car pulls like a train through all the gears without a problem, We then decided to go for 1.6 bar, all 530bhp. The car just could not get any grip, on full throttle. I had to back off a bit just over half throttle to get grip on the rear tyres.

When running 1.2bar the speedo climbs fine. But when i switch onto 1.6bar, then this is what happens see video below.

Any idea's guys??

It may well be your hitting warp factor ten without realising it. :)

I heard southbends can creep but then i would have thought it less likely to slip.

Tyres all good?

Brand new Falken 452's on the rear, dont think the clutch is slipping TBH. id feel it straight away.

My old supra used to do this on occasions. Never got round to fixing it, I assumed it was down to a crappy speed converter. I was only running BPU 1.2bar

Only does it running 1.6bar though, running 1.2bar the speedo climbs fine.

No idea whats going on here??

It only did it occassionally. I sold the car to Trinitom who is a member on here. Ask him if the problem still persists or if he resolved it.

My money is on your speed convertor being unable to compensate for the increased level of acceleration. If you watch when you boot it at 110mph, the needle jumps to 180, 180kmh is around 110mph, so it looks like the convertor is reverting back to what the stock speedo would read if it had no converter fitterd, I hope this makes sense.

Now that makes sense, :D nice one bud.

Right how do i compensate for this then?? is it a case of replacing the converter???
