Truck vs Bridge

SILKYSMOOTH

Recommended Posts

A lorry has crashed through a footbridge in Istanbul, Turkey, injuring one person.

Police are looking into the driver's claim that the dumper rose up without him realising.

Two other people on the footbridge escaped without injury.

No-one was killed in the accident.

You would of thought there would be an audible/visual alarm in the cab to tell the driver it was still tipped up.

Thanks for posting it, I saw it on Sky the other day but couldn't find it on the net.

Exactly I agree, there must be some kind of warning signal or at least should have been!

No problem :D

It's not like; "I left my keys in the car" or "I left my phone on top of the roof by accident", "I didn't close the door properly" ........................ It's flipping huge that trailer......surprised he wasn't drivng on the back wheels alone.

Also surprised how quick that bridge just collapsed......The guy on the bridge was probably working out the height of the truck compared to the height of the bridge by using a calculator and found out it wasn't high enough as soon as he pressed '='
