Chewie
Sobering write-up. Makes a change from hearing about the stereotypical lashing of 'lost control on diesel'.
jk136
Its good that both you guys who posted pictures of your accidents can reflect back and take something positive from a negative and ensure you drive sensibly from then on. I also noticed that Shima60 said: 'must be a thing with honda's ' Had VTEC kicked in yO?
adnanshah247
wow that integra help up compared to most light weight hondas ive seen after a stack. respect to you mate, for having the balls coming on the forum and admitting that you were wrong and the consequences. a lot of members need to simply see this kind of thing in order for them to think twice. glad to hear nobody was injured. be careful in the future now bud. grandiaerbest
Sorry to bring this back up. But I have an update. I just got a letter from the police today about the charges I will be facing, they are charging me with 12 charges. I have to say, they are very slow in the faroes with these things, this happened 2 years ago, and first now it is going its course. pathetic. I will most likely get a massive fine and lose my license for about 2 years. They say that they have a 18meter long slide against the curb, and are claiming that I drove 130km which is about 80miles an hour. the reality is that I have no idea what speed I was driving at. (the legal speed where this happened was 50km which is 30miles). I have decided to take whatever punishment they see fit. I will be talking to lawyer the state has giving me, and if all the charges are what happened, I will not be defending myself. If there are any bogus charges I will defend myself against those. I guess my hunt for a new Supra is off for now, but I will buy a new one, when I get my license back.

caseys
I admire your honesty, I really do. I hope the court take into consideration that you are owning upto the matter and taking responsibility and assumedly, accepting the consequences it incurs. I hope things go as well as they can for you and sometime we see you in a nice supra which is only ever driven fast on private land/tracks. Si

Si Thank you, I hope to come to some of the meets you guys have, when I get my license back. And yes in my opinion all racing should be done in tracks or private areas with correct safety. I think most people agree with this, even those that don't follow this rule.

Supra786
Hope everything works out for you and they show leniency in the matter as you seem like you clearly have learnt from the incident and have genuine remorse for what happened. Good luck.
Brazil
wow, the pic of that red car on the verge of that cliff is sureal! Fair play for being open with it. It's good that no one was seriously hurt. Yeah it's a very humble & honest post...! Maybe you should be more open about your 2=1 dude..!
jonathanc
Yeah it's a very humble & honest post...! Maybe you should be more open about your 2=1 dude..! ? Just been reading this from page 1. I really admire your courage to step up and admit fault, especially in a public forum. Glad to hear there's no serious injuries. You can't believe how many people would just blame it on the diesel spill, snake in a car, 10ft pothole, accelerator pedal got stuck, bee flew into nose etc but wouldn't admit that they are at fault for driving inappropriately. Sorry to hear about the charges but I guess you know that would come one day. Chin up lad and start afresh!
Attero
What a strange place for a cliff... Like everyone, I admire your honesty. What a gamble for reputation you took by posting it on a forum. I'm glad it all turned out for the best... by having lessons learnt!
Brazil
I am sure this could of happened to almost everybody on this forum...! It's really easy to say 'that would not happen to me' I know when I can drive fast and when I cant...! All race car driver, pushing the limits aventually crash..! Stay concious of the risks, respect and value your luck..! This will increase you chances of not wiping out...... :-)
