Holden1989
Been at my new job just over a week (but in theory been there alot longer) and the usual is me and one other start at 7.30am, Everyday 'the one other' has strolled in gone 8 o'clock, and this morning 9.30 Barely gets a slap on the wrist - actually she gets handed a coffee. Getting pretty pi$$ed off now
RobSheffield
Random you should post that. I started a new job, and have to work with imbeciles that cant use computers and old fashioned managers who don't care about customers, staff or jobs! Its all getting a bit much and I am currently looking at leaving and starting something on my own!

Charlotte
The woman I work with told me yesterday that she was going to the shop to get something for her lunch - fair enough I thought, she's going for her dinner. She then gets back, 15 mins later and someone asked her in passing whether she was coming back from her lunch (we get 30mins) and she said no, she was just going on it. This was after doing nothing for the entire morning. Some people are just born lazy.

Holden1989
No random cos its similar to my new job Sounds like we all work with muppets, i think i should just not work - saves me so much grief Charlotte - Sounds like something she would do, she does however have countless coffee/fags breaks. I think i should start drinking tea/coffee - Would give me atleast 20 tea-breaks a day
ozz
I find people get too hung up on time, its results that matter unless you are in a support situation where cover is expected at certain times. I get in early but leave on time, one guy in the team stays late all the time but gets very little done. Worry more about your results and forget about what she is doing, that way hopefully you'll rise to the top and she won't.
Supradoopa
Ask her if she thinks she's at Butlins, because she clearly seems to be taking the piss. Gotta love civvies

tooquicktostop
She wont progress to far in the financial climate today with that work ethic, just continue to do your job and you will shine, cream really does rise to the top IMO

dangerous brain
Ach over half the people I work with do naff all for most of the day. Its like to trying to motivate the dead. Doesn't help that my place of work is set up in a way that doing anything is almost like pulling teeth out and every time you think you are about to get somewhere some other crazy rule comes out that hampers your progress back to a standstill. Also doesn't help that the sooner we get the job done the sooner we are all out of a job.
caseys
She wont progress to far in the financial climate today with that work ethic, just continue to do your job and you will shine, cream really does rise to the top IMO I agree entirely with this. The people at our workplace who just work the clock and don't help their colleagues at work out and just sit and bitch about trivial things (rather than bring thankful for at least having a job) are being weeded out. The creatives, thinkers and enthusiastic people who have the drive to get a job done well will survive in such a employer's market as it is now. Unless they're hindering your job don't sweat it, just keep working hard. Those that truly have the drive to succeed generally do. Just remember why you're working. I've found with a baby on the way it's focused me even more to provide for someone other than me in life for the first time in my life. That and I live by the dogma that nothing worthwhile having in this life is easy. Either that or start some psychological warfare with them
